GOING ON WITH PATIENCE

In my previous article I have mentioned about “Tales from Earthsea”, a movie of the Japanese director Gora Miyazaki. Years ago I watched the magnificent movie “Spirited Away” by the director Hayao Miyazaki and I wasn’t much surprised when I came to know that he is the father of Gora Miyazaki. The more movies I am watching by Gora Miyazaki the more my admiration and love increase for the Miyazakis. His aim is to draw attention to the imbalance of the Earth and what each of us can do about it; individually and collectively. Hayao Miyazaki himself is a guide showing us the way.

As far as I have seen in all Miyazaki movies there are determined strong young children, who accomplish unexpectedly difficult tasks. Usually there is a boy and a girl in the leading roles who develop a solitary bond that is based on pure and unconditional love with each other for a holy purpose. They risk everything even their lives for the sake of loved ones/ family/community. They don’t fear death therefore they are able to go beyond death.
And Miyazaki tells in all his movies in different variations about the unity of concepts such as good-bad, brightness-darkness.

Another very important and special movie of Miyazaki is “Nausicaä of the Valley of Wind”.  Nausicaä is the best anti-war movie I have ever seen up until today.

Poisoned forests are spread all over the Earth’s surface and giant creatures called “Ohmu” are protecting these forests. Throughout the whole movie a ten years old girl named Nausiaä gets lovingly in touch with these creatures and all other creatures known as “harmful-bad” from which everyone is afraid of.

Everyone tries to break away from the Ohmus and sees them as monsters. Only Nausicaä, as she gets in touch with the Ohmus , senses the “good” side that is in balance with the higher plan within them. And thereby is she able to ensure the escape of her community from death.

This movie wants to emphasize the message that there is no other way but to show understanding towards a seemingly negative person/situation by perceiving his/the side which is connected to the creator.

Nausicaä’s affection for the Ohmus and her efforts to understand them, do remind us upon patience and affection which are important on our way of spiritual development.

Spread all over the world in each family there is at least one member who is a spiritual being with serious wounds/ traumas, likewise the Ohmus.

At human level these beings can be healed with pure love which we anyhow experience in the spiritual realm.

These wounded souls are close to us and can be sometimes mother, sometimes partner or sometimes child. It isn’t possible to approach them always with unconditional love but on our way to fulfill our task with these wounded souls; patience and understanding are our great helpers.

We should be thankful for each person or situation we are complaining about, criticizing out of disapproval or being uncomfortable with. Only so we can go along with our spiritual development.  This is the only way recognizing it as a gift for what we have to learn and to overcome in this life. In this way we can proceed on our spiritual development.

At first we have to take responsibility for ourselves and let others be responsible for them. Taking responsibility is the important step for our spiritual growth. Appraising the being within its own reality without judging and accusing is the best way to understand her/him. The more wounds the more love is needed.

Lets walk our path/way with unconditional love for everyone and everything.

Love and gratitude
